Long Beach Hospitality Alliance Announces CHLA Management Agreement, Welcomes New Executive Director

LONG BEACH, CA – (Dec. 20, 2018) –The Long Beach Hospitality Alliance (LBHA) announced today that it has entered into a management agreement with the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA), which will provide organizational, administrative and communication support so LBHA can focus its efforts on advocacy for the Long Beach hotel industry.

In conjunction with those goals, Heather Rozman has been appointed Executive Director of the Alliance, bringing with her almost two decades of experience in association management, government and community relations, political campaigning, and business development.

“Our partnership with LBHA will build upon the excellent work the Alliance has done for the Long Beach hospitality industry since it began three years ago,’’ said Lynn S. Mohrfeld, CHLA President and CEO. “Our expertise in hospitality advocacy combined with Heather’s vast experience and knowledge of the hospitality climate ensures LBHA members’ interests are fervently represented.”

Rozman previously managed Community Programs for several major infrastructure construction projects across the country, totaling approximately $4 billion in capital costs. Heather grew up in Madison, Wis., attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and interned for U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold before joining his campaign team as Field Organizer. She currently serves as Commissioner on the West Los Angeles Area Planning Commission, appointed by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

“My top priorities are to help LBHA be an effective and strong voice for the local industry and to bring our advocacy efforts to the next level,’’ Rozman said. “I’m confident that, with the excellent team we have in place, we can achieve these goals and more.”
