Gina Paladini

Gina has been an active participant in the tourism industry for over 24 years. With a Bachelors of Business specialising in Marketing and Communications, she was the founder and Managing Director of New Zealand Encounters, an inbound tourism agency that was one of the first in the country to understand and exploit the internet to market New Zealand directly to the independent traveller. 

In 2003 she co-founded Availability’s ResBook, which has become one of New Zealand’s largest providers of real-time, online reservation systems. In 2005 she co-founded TourWriter, a complete software application for the Inbound Tourism Industry and which now has over 160 companies in internationally using the system.

Today, Gina is one of the Directors of Tomahawk a tourism marketing agency with offices in New Zealand and the US. Tomahawk is a group of marketers, developers, designers, strategists and tourism gurus who are passionate about empowering businesses online. Product development and marketing consultation, website design and delivery, online booking and payment solutions, search engine optimisation (SEO), social media campaigns and channel management are just some of the ways Tomahawk helps businesses succeed online.

When not talking tourism, Gina can be found cooking up a storm (her Italian/San Franciscan roots) for family and friends, walking her beloved Border Collie “Tana” or contributing her time and effort to the charity she help start, Animals Fiji.
