Ontario’s Measure V And Measure W Defeated

Voters in Ontario have rejected both Measure V and Measure W, according to early election results released this week. Measure V, related to hospitality worker wages, did not pass, while Measure W—which would have required additional voter approval for large-scale entertainment and hospitality developments—was also defeated. The outcome of Measure W is expected to help streamline future development projects, including plans for a new convention hotel in the area.
