The reality is that lodging properties across the country are being sued. In fact, the number of website accessibility lawsuits have increased over 200% since 2017! Have you taken the necessary steps to prepare for a potential and possibly costly lawsuit? Did you know there are multiple sides to ADA? There is the physical side of ADA from which you may or may not be exempt. There’s also the gray area of historic properties, which are not automatically exempt from ADA but may qualify for certain exemptions. Then, there is the website side of ADA from which NO ONE is exempt. Finally, there are other important ADA guidelines for your booking engine, PMS, and OTA listings, as well as room retention requirements for disabled persons. Join us for this information-packed webinar to learn what steps you need to take to prepare for the possibility of being sued. You’ll also learn how to use online testing tools to see if your website and booking engine are ADA-compliant.

California’s New Pay Transparency Requirements: A Roadmap for Compliance

With the enactment of SB 1162, California has joined the growing list of state and local jurisdictions that are requiring pay scale information to be included in job postings and provided to current employees upon request, among other requirements. This is a new requirement for California employers effective January 2023 and raises a host of compliance questions and challenges – and not a lot of time to figure it all out. We are here to help and walk you through it all. Join California attorney, Benjamin Ebbink, Partner at Fisher & Phillips LLP, to review this new law and discuss tips and best practices for compliance.

Please note: although this webinar will briefly discuss the pay data reporting changes enacted by SB 1162, the focus of this webinar will be on the pay transparency provisions. A future webinar will take a “deep dive” specifically on the pay data reporting requirements of the amended law.
The firm is submitting this program for HRCI and SHRM credit.
