Reducing Employer Risk: How to Safely Request and Store Employee Vaccination Information in the New COVID Landscape

As California continues to open, organizations are putting together policies and procedures for how they will, and to what extent, require employees to get vaccinated and show proof. Employers need to prepare themselves for rapidly evolving laws and regulations and protect themselves against HIPAA/HITECH violations.

Join us as we provide guidance on how to safely request, store, and manage the vaccination status of your employees within your organization. We will include information on the newest EEOC guidance regarding employer mandated vaccinations, and how to reduce liability for businesses.

CHLA members who work with MedExpert to store employee vaccination information can receive a 10% discount using code “CHLA21”. Members with 10 employees or less can access the service for free. To sign up visit covid.medexperthealth.com

How to Transform a Property Website from a Brochure into a Destination and Grow Direct Bookings

In the early days of the internet, technical SEO ruled and a few travel planning websites dominated the search engines. They used their traffic power to create a business model where they resold their traffic to third party websites in exchange for commissions. The model still exists today, but not because those websites hold the same power as when they first started.

Properties now have the ability to dramatically increase their direct bookings by transforming their website from a brochure into a direct booking asset through content marketing.

In this webinar we will cover a step-by-step process any team can use to begin creating content for their property website to increase website traffic and grow social media followings.

2021 Stars of the Industry Awards and Annual Membership Meeting

The Stars of the Industry Awards program was created more than 40 years ago by the American Hotel & Lodging Association to recognize outstanding accomplishments in the lodging industry. While the categories have evolved over the years, the concept is still the same — to honor lodging employees and properties that best symbolize the quality service of the industry.

CHLA & CABBI member properties are eligible to nominate one employee from their staff for the HD Supply Housekeeping Award, Outstanding Lodging Employee, Manager of the Year, General Manager of the Year, Women in Lodging Connect Leader of the Year, or the Stevan Porter Emerging Hospitality Leader of the Year. In addition, properties may enter their best public relations programs in one of the three categories for CHLA’s property achievement awards — Good Earthkeeping, Guest Services, and Community Service. Properties may submit one entry per category. The top three nominees will be invited to attend this year’s awards luncheon on November 18, 2021, where the winners will be announced.
