Cloudbeds Releases 2026 State Of Independent Hotels Report
CHLA Member Cloudbeds released its 2026 State of Independent Hotels Report, based on 90 million bookings across 180 countries, which shows that independent hotels lost ground to OTAs in 2025, with global occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR declining, though EMEA and parts of Canada saw growth. The report highlights deeper OTA dependence, longer booking and cancellation windows, and the dominance of short stays, alongside emerging extended-stay demand. Despite challenges, the data identifies regional bright spots and behavioral shifts, offering independent hotel operators strategic insights and opportunities to adapt in a changing market.
