Election Day 2024: Is Your Property Prepared?
With Election Day approaching next Tuesday, it’s crucial to ensure your property is prepared for any potential election-related activities. Political events can bring together groups with diverse viewpoints, and having a plan in place is important for maintaining a safe, respectful environment for both guests and staff. We encourage you to develop clear messaging and procedures, while also establishing connections with local law enforcement especially if any protests are anticipated. CHLA has learned of recent cybersecurity/disinformation campaigns and ‘swatting’ incidents (false emergency reports intended to provoke law enforcement response) from across the country, and we encourage you to maintain a heightened awareness of your surroundings. And remember to encourage your employees to exercise their right to vote! Click the link below for an election preparedness checklist provided by AHLA.
