Hotels In World Cup Host Cities Exceed Initial RevPAR Forecast
Hotels in U.S. World Cup host cities saw strong performance gains in late June, with RevPAR up 9.6% year over year, driven primarily by higher room rates rather than increased occupancy. Miami, San Francisco, Dallas and Kansas City posted some of the largest gains, with San Francisco seeing RevPAR rise 40.7% for the week ending June 27. As the tournament continues through July, hotel performance is expected to depend on advancing teams and fan travel patterns.
