Jenn Wheaton, CMP Promoted to Program & Events Manager for the California Association of Boutique and Breakfast Inns
Sacramento, CA – The California Association of Boutique & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) announced the promotion of Jenn Wheaton, CMP to Program & Events Manager. Ms. Wheaton has been a dedicated employee with CABBI for nearly five years in her most recent role as a Program Coordinator.
In her new role, she will be responsible for managing the California Association of Boutique & Breakfast Inns, focusing on producing the InnSpire Conference, further developing the CABBI website and numerous promotional programs. Ms. Wheaton’s tenure with CABBI has been marked by continual improvement in branding and production for CABBI, and a willingness to learn as she applies herself to the promotion of California’s boutique and bed & breakfast inns.
“Jenn’s knowledge and performance has continually improved to the benefit of both the members and the association,” said Lynn Mohrfeld, President & CEO of CABBI. “CABBI is lucky to have someone like Jenn – she has very much earned this promotion.”
In 2014, Ms. Wheaton earned her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter of Meeting Planners International. Also in 2014, Ms. Wheaton received a Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence (RISE) Award at MPI’s World Education Congress in Minneapolis. The RISE Award for Young Professional Achievement was awarded to Wheaton for her strategic use of technology and social media to help the bed and breakfast industry in California embrace a new generation of travelers. Additionally, she is an active member of the International Society of Hotel Association Executives and the California Society of Association Executives. Ms. Wheaton earned her degree in Public Relations from California State University, Sacramento.
