Measure To Promote Level Playing Field With Short Term Rentals Passes First Committee

This week, a measure which would help establish a level playing field with short-term rentals by ensuring they pay the appropriate TOT and comply with local ordinances passed its first committee in a unanimous vote. The measure, sponsored by the League of California Cities and California Association of County Treasures and Tax Collectors, is strongly supported by CHLA and other tourism-related entities who view it as a fair measure for communities and the hospitality industry.
