Two Destinations In California Named The Best Place For Ice Skating In The US

California is home to two of the nation’s best ice skating rinks, according to USA TODAY’s 10Best list. Skating by the Sea at Hotel del Coronado in San Diego ranked No. 8, offering beachfront skating with ocean views and cozy experiences at the Frostbite Lounge, while San Francisco’s Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square took No. 6, featuring themed events like Drag on Ice. The state also earned accolades in holiday displays: the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa’s Festival of Lights in Riverside was named a top public holiday lights destination, and WildLights at the Living Desert Zoo in Palm Desert made the list for best zoo lights.
