CHLA Expands Staff to Support Growth of Membership, Events

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA) proudly announces the expansion of its staff with the appointment of two highly accomplished professionals, Jesse Geremia as Executive Vice President and Melanie Kern as Meetings & Events Manager. CHLA also announced the well-deserved promotion of Sandra Oberle to the position of Vice President of Membership.

Geremia comes to CHLA with nearly two decades of hospitality leadership and operations experience, with his most recent position as the Senior Managing Director of Hospitality for Timbers Resorts, a leading developer and operator of luxury hotels, private resident clubs, and boutique hotels. In his new position, Geremia will help drive forward CHLA’s strategic vision and role as a leader of California’s diverse lodging industry.

In her new role as Meeting & Events Manager, Kern will manage all things marketing and organizing for CHLA events to help the association continue to educate and inform the lodging community on the latest issues and opportunities. Before joining CHLA, Kern was a Marketing Specialist for The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley.

Oberle’s promotion to Vice President of Membership comes after a decade of service as CHLA’s Membership Director. In her new role, Oberle will continue to grow and nurture CHLA’s members and lead the association in creating new strategic partnerships.
