Governor Gavin Newsom has proclaimed August 8, 2024, as California Panda Day, marking the public debut of giant pandas Yun Chuan and Xin Bao at the San Diego Zoo. These pandas are the first to arrive in the U.S. in over 21 years, and visitors can now enjoy the newly opened Panda Ridge.
