This Tech Giant’s Conference Is Coming To S.F. For The First Time In Three Decades

Microsoft is bringing its Ignite tech conference to San Francisco in 2025 for the first time, a win for the city as it continues to grapple with lost business travel since the pandemic. The company confirmed the Moscone Center booking on Friday, the final day of this year’s conference, held in Chicago. The San Francisco event is booked for the week of Nov. 17, 2025. Ignite is projected to generate $41.5 million in direct spending and account for 61,510 booked hotel room nights, according to San Francisco Travel, the city’s tourism bureau.
