San Mateo County Human Trafficking Action Plan Launch Event

CHLA is urging Bay Area hoteliers to participate in a critical regional effort ahead of the Super Bowl in Santa Clara and FIFA World Cup matches across the region next year. These major sporting events are expected to draw millions of visitors, underscoring the need for a coordinated strategy around human trafficking prevention, training, and response. San Mateo County, together with federal and regional law enforcement partners, is launching a new countywide initiative: Be Aware. Prepare. – SMC Human Trafficking Action Plan. This free launch event will take place Monday, December 8, 2025, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. at the San Mateo Event Center.
