CHLA Honored for Excellence in Communications and Member Programs
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The California Hotel & Lodging Association is the recipient of two International Society of Hotel Association Executives (ISHAE) Awards of Excellence for communications and member programs. The awards were presented on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the 30th annual ISHAE Winter Conference at The Fairmont in San Francisco, California. Lynn Mohrfeld, CAE, President & CEO and Jennifer Flohr, CAE, CMP, Senior Vice President accepted the award on behalf of CHLA.
The Award of Excellence in communications honored CHLA for the Advocacy Summary, an annual publication that provides CHLA members with a summary of new laws enacted during the year as well as the legislative, regulatory and political developments that CHLA has been involved with during the previous year.
The Award of Excellence in member programs honored CHLA for distributing emergency pocket guidebooks to provide hotel employees with a go-to manual to help deal with a variety of emergency situations that might occur within a hotel. This winning program was accomplished in partnership with Petra Risk Solutions, CHLA’s endorsed insurance provider.

ISHAE Awards of Excellence are given annually to the best lodging association programs and services and is widely recognized within the hotel and lodging industry.
