CHLA’s Jennifer Flohr Honored with Meeting Planner of the Year Award
Sacramento, CA – The Sacramento/Sierra Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPISSN) has announced that Jennifer Flohr, CAE, CMP, Senior Vice President for the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA) has received the 2015 Meeting Planner of the Year award. The award was presented during today’s MPISSN luncheon at The Center at 2300 in Sacramento.
The MPISSN Chapter is dedicated to the growth, development and success of event and meeting professionals. The MPISSN Meeting Planner of the Year selection is made based on dedication to furthering the goals of the MPI Sacramento/Sierra Nevada chapter, the goals of MPI Global and the meetings industry, as well as professionalism and career involvement.
Jennifer is currently MPISSN’s Immediate Past President and has held numerous positions in MPISSN during her nine years as a member. In 2012, Jennifer received MPISSN’s Chapter Leader of the Year Award for her work serving on the Board of Directors as the Vice President of Education.
Jennifer started with CHLA as a Membership Manager eleven years ago, and has been promoted three times during her tenure to her current position as Senior Vice President where she is responsible for managing meetings, events, member services, advertising, sponsorships and promotional opportunities. While with CHLA, she has also earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification and her Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification.
