JV Completes Nation’s Largest Hotel Project In 34 Months

The $1.3 billion Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center, a 1,600-room waterfront property in Chula Vista, officially opened its doors to guests last week. The nearly two-million square-foot resort is reportedly the largest hotel project in the U.S. The resort features multiple restaurants, a sports bar, local art, ballrooms, convention space, and a water park with slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. After years of delays, the project created over 7,000 construction jobs and is expected to generate $475 million annually for the local economy while spurring further development in the region.
