Union-Backed Ballot Initiatives Fail To Meet Signature Gathering Deadlines

Ballot initiatives which would have eventually established a $30/hour minimum wage for hotel employees in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica have failed for lack of signatures after the organization which filed the initial measures and notices failed to submit signatures by the requisite deadlines (January 21 and 29, respectively) or even communicate with city officials.
