CHLA Members Turn 100

CHLA members La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica, and Hotel Santa Barbara are among California’s landmark coastal properties celebrating their 100th anniversaries in 2026, each rooted in the region’s 1920s boom of Hollywood glamour and Mediterranean-inspired design. La Valencia, the “Pink Lady,” remains a La Jolla icon overlooking the cove with preserved historic charm and Hollywood-era elegance, while Casa del Mar continues its legacy as a grand seaside retreat in Santa Monica, blending Italian Renaissance Revival architecture with modern luxury. Hotel Santa Barbara, rebuilt after the 1925 earthquake, stands as a symbol of resilience and Spanish Colonial Revival style, now serving as a cultural gateway to the city.
