CHLA Members Receive Free Access to the Program
The American Hotel & Lodging Association has recently introduced the AHLA Hotel Employee Travel Program, a unique initiative designed to benefit both hotel companies and their employees. This program grants eligible hotel employees secure, password-protected access to exclusive, deeply discounted hotel rates at thousands of branded and independent properties across the U.S. and in over 100 countries worldwide. Participating hotels can choose from four flexible program options—ranging from complimentary plans that contribute rooms during low-demand periods to paid plans with no room contribution required.
Similar to the employee travel programs offered by major international hotel branded companies, the AHLA Hotel Employee Travel Program enhances employee satisfaction and retention by offering a valuable travel perk while maintaining full control over rate integrity and availability. Hotels benefit from easy employee onboarding, customizable internal controls, and seamless connectivity to over 90 channel management systems, allowing them to manage inventory dynamically. Employees (and their friends & family) enjoy the freedom to book independently—without the need for authorization forms—accessing rates typically discounted 40% or more, with friends and family rates offering savings of 20% or more. This innovative program helps hotels foster a stronger team culture while driving incremental room nights and supporting industry-wide engagement.
