Governor Newsom Signs CHLA-Supported Bill As LA Readies For 2028 Olympics

Last week, Governor Newsom signed bills to continue to support Los Angeles’ efforts to prepare to host the upcoming 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the athletes from around the globe who will compete. CHLA thanks Assemblymember Tina McKinnor and Governor Gavin Newsom for their leadership on Assembly Bill 2411, establishing the California Olympic and Paralympic Public Safety Command. Along with our partners at California Travel Association (CalTravel), CHLA was proud to support AB 2411 to ensure our public safety agencies are coordinated, prepared, and ready to protect our communities, workers, and millions of visitors as California prepares to welcome the world to LA in 2028.
