Past Stars of the Industry Award Winners

On December 1, 2023, the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA) honored eleven hospitality leaders and four outstanding properties during our annual Stars of the Industry Awards. The awards ceremony was held at the Claremont Club & Spa in Berkeley.

The California Hotel & Lodging Association honored 11 hospitality leaders and four outstanding properties today during its annual Stars of the Industry Awards Gala on November 17, 2022 at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort.

The California Hotel & Lodging Association and the state’s 6,000 hospitality providers honored 16 individuals and properties who represent the best of California’s lodging industry during its annual Stars of the Industry awards on November 18, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.

Sacramento, Calif., – The California Hotel & Lodging Association announced its 2020 award-winners on November 19 during its first-ever virtual Stars of the Industry celebration. This annual event honors the best and brightest lodging employees and properties that encompass the quality and service standards of the industry.

Berkeley, Calif. – The California Hotel & Lodging Association announced its 2019 award-winners on November 22, 2019 during its Stars of the Industry celebration at the Claremont Club and Spa. This annual event honors the lodging employees and properties that best embody the quality service standards of the industry.

Coronado, Calif. – The California Hotel & Lodging Association announced its 2018 award-winners on November 27, 2018, during its Stars of the Industry celebration at the Hotel del Coronado. This annual event honors the lodging employees and properties that best embody the quality service standards of the industry.

Napa, California – The California Hotel & Lodging Association announced their 2017 Stars of the Industry award winners on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Westin Verasa in Napa, CA. The annual Stars of the Industry awards are given out to honor lodging employees and properties that best symbolize the quality service of the industry. The 2017 awards were given out for three property and six individual categories, as well as the Peggy Mosley Industry Champion Award honoring an outstanding CHLA or CABBI member who has demonstrated professionalism in operating a CHLA or CABBI member property, and have taken a leadership role in our industry and in his or her community.

Rancho Palos Verdes, California – The California Hotel & Lodging Association announced their 2016 Stars of the Industry award winners on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. The annual Stars of the Industry awards, presented by USA TODAY, are given out to honor lodging employees and properties that best symbolize the quality service of the industry. The 2016 awards were given out for three property and six individual categories, as well as the inaugural Peggy Mosley Industry Champion Award honoring an outstanding CHLA or CABBI member who has demonstrated professionalism in operating a CHLA or CABBI member property, and have taken a leadership role in our industry and in his or her community.

San Diego, California – The California Hotel & Lodging Association announced their 2015 Stars of the Industry award winners on Thursday at the US Grant hotel in San Diego. The annual Stars of the Industry awards, presented by USA TODAY, are given out to honor lodging employees and properties that best symbolize the quality service of the industry. The 2015 awards were given out for five property and six individual categories, as well as one industry supplier category.

The annual Stars of the Industry awards, presented by USA TODAY, are given out to honor lodging employees and properties that best symbolize the quality service of the industry. The 2013 awards were given out for four property and six individual categories.

San Francisco, CA – The California Hotel & Lodging Association announced their 2012 Stars of the Industry award winners yesterday at the W San Francisco in San Francisco, CA on November 27, 2012. The Stars of the Industry awards, presented by USA TODAY, were given out under four property and six individual categories, including a brand new category for this year, the HD Supply Housekeeping award. This new award recognizes a non-management housekeeping staff member for their outstanding efforts and contributions to their hotel’s housekeeping operations. Also new this year was the Student Member and Student Chapter of the Year awards.
